About the shop
A working flower shop, not a website with a van.
Thistle & Fern opened on 123 Main Street in 2012 with a cold room, two benches and a secondhand van. That is still roughly the operation. Two of us cut and wrap, one of us drives, and all three of us answer the phone.
In a normal week we’ll do forty everyday bouquets, a funeral or two, the standing orders for three offices in town, and whatever the weekend’s event needs. It is not a big business and we are not trying to make it one.
How we work
Four things that never change.

We buy twice a week
Market run on Tuesday and Friday mornings. What comes back is what goes in your bouquet, which is why the same design never looks quite the same twice.

Everything is conditioned
Stems stripped, cut on an angle and given a day in the cold room before they go anywhere. It is the boring part and it is the reason ours last.

We quote the real number
The price we say on the phone is the price on the invoice. Delivery is listed separately and we will tell you when a cheaper flower does the same job.
- 04
Nothing leaves that we would not send home
If a bloom opens too early or a stem turns, it does not go out. We would rather remake it than apologize for it.

Funerals and events are handled outside these hours whenever we need to.

Oakridge Junction, Millbrook, Cedar Fork, Harlow Springs, Bell Prairie, Rosemont
$12 flat, free on orders over $85. Order by 1:00 PM and it goes out the same day.
